INTRO
Hey everyone, thank you for getting to work and making MEMES! If you didn't go through and look through all of your peers' memes, I wanted to go ahead and share some of the BEST memes! While I did appreciate all of your memes, and while I did include many of my favorites on this page, I do want to point out what I think are the top two memes: ET Saving Lives, and My Freshman Year (the first two on this page). Check them out below!
THE MEMES
What I love about ET: ET's position truly lends itself to pushing a Purell hand sanitizer spout, so this student truly took advantage of that. Also, the masking of the mask and placing it on ET's head so perfectly was a great step. Also, check out how the purell bottle is placed INTO the Reese's! Nice detail.
What I love about Stanley Kubrick: Great job finding an image of grocery aisles in the same perspective of The Shining's boy-on-tricycle image. And wonderful job scaling the haz-mat suits and blending them in with the "weird twins". Also, great job using large text for the title (2020) and adding color to the title that jives with the boy's t-shirt and bell color!
What I love about "My Freshman Year": HA HA - Getting the HPU gate in there is GREAT!
Oh my gosh, wait, I really want to see the Photoshop document for this one - Did this person truly use a blur on a smart object of the gate?
Also, look at that blending of the pixels! The HPU gate seamlessly blends in with the grass (except - ha - check out the tiny human from the HPU image contrasting with the original (now giant) person in blue standing near the hydrant. But YES - SO GREAT!
What I love about the Kardashians: Note the student standing in the image! Not only is he masked very well (I hope he used mask and didn't just delete pixels!) but he also took the time to add the white piece of furniture over his legs! Great job!
What I love about Rob Lowe: Check out how the Rob Lowe image is both the background for "Corona Time" but also how his elbow goes over Corona-Time's arm! Great Photoshopping!
What I love about this: I think that's the student herself looking back at us (I'm not sure...it *looks* like her, but much of the face is covered so I can't be certain). If it IS her, I LOVE when students put themselves into their memes (as above too) because it pesonalizes it.
Also, check out the hair above the O of the Coronavirus - it looks like some detailed photoshopping was done so that we could see through to the background. For those of you who did not photoshop hair...it is HARD!
What I love about "Tigers": I love that this student combined current events from television (woman is from some Tiger show (no I haven't watched it - been busy with classes) and the health guy from the Coronavirus affair (I completely forgot his name). And to top it all off, the student included a photo from his own camera roll!
Not only that, but check out how this student embedded the two folks into the background AND behind the husband-murderer in the foreground. Great Photoshop work!
What I love about donut-eating-dad: I can tell this person darkened the background in order to blend in with the darkness of the noseless guy (correct, I have NO idea who these Harry Potter people are).
What I love about Kitty-Kougher: What I love about this meme is that I thought the cougher was the same photo as the background at first, until I read the blog post and the student mentioned how they put them together: GREAT MASKING! I also wonder if the student adjusted brightness for either foreground or background.
What I love about Computer-Crashes: Great job recreating a crash screen. And yes - I am so vain that if you include me in any of your work I will instantly like your work much more. This student has remembered the many times I have chastised some of you for using SAFARIIIIII.
Also, I just noticed that this student spent some time working out the kinks of the amazing "Emboss"! Great embossing, sometimes embossing can look TERRIBLE. The one above looks like it has been massaged well.
